GD and its construction team completed for Triple M Metal a new outdoor equipment shelter building for its non-ferrous scrap metal operations in Hamilton.
The plant – which specifically sorts the non-ferrous metals after shredding – is believed to have the largest capacity of any facility of its kind in North America. The plant includes leading-edge technology that detects the non-ferrous metals, including plastic coated copper wire, sorting them out into heaps ready for shipping anywhere in the world, while diverting the waste to a pile outside that is then shipped to a landfill site.
